Just had an insight

Every negative feeling that I can think of so far (including self-pity, and all the other “selfs”) is a defense against grief or a defense against some possible grief in the future.

Why don’t we let ourselves grieve?

It feels really good afterwards, but for some reason we are afraid of it.

Let yourself grieve.
